5 December- Charity Event – Kameeldrift Laerskool
Our yearly Christmas drop started with the legends getting together at Jorra’s house to pack all the food parcels and load the truck with all the goods to go to Kameeldrift Laerskool. While some were packing and stacking, others were tending the braai to prepare boerie rolls for everyone to enjoy when the work was done.
We were greeted with a rainy Saturday morning. Most of us decided to take our cars to Kameeldrift Laerskool, but some braved the rain on their bikes.
We arrived at the school and started to get the tables ready where we were going to prepare the hotdogs for everyone who attended the day. The food parcels were carried out to the hall. Santa was ready to man his station with the party packs and his trusty helpers.
Not all the families invited could attend the day as the rain hampered plans a bit, but we saw many familiar faces from last year, and we received a very warm welcome from Marina and her staff from Kameeldrift Laerskool.
All the food parcels and hotdogs were distributed to the necessary families, and the kids enjoyed hotdogs the following Monday at the school.
All in all, another successful charity drop by Zambezi MCC. We surely made a difference! Thank you to each member and your families for making our last drop for this difficult year such a success.
Blessings to all!
