Our first charity drop for the year was at Eleos Community Centre in Booysens.  Eleos is a registered non-profit organization and public benefit organization that helps underprivileged children and their families in the Pretoria West region. They believe in building relationships and empowering the community to be able to support themselves. Eleos has various programs in place to support the underprivileged community, namely: feeding scheme, empowerment, family preservation, childhood development, spiritual growth, job creation and study support.

On Saturday morning, the 21st of May the Zambezi Legends were greeted by the coldest day yet.  The sky was overcast with clouds and a chilly wind was blowing.  Even though everybody was shivering we geared up to make a huge difference at the Eleos Community Centre.  It was a perfect day to give warm blankets & jackets, warm boerie-rolls and to spoil the women and children with toiletries and soft toys. We engaged and took part in a group session with the fathers and interacted with the mothers and children. We saw life from their perspective – their struggles and hardships and showed them empathy and understanding.

Donating to causes which we care about not only benefits the charities themselves, it is also deeply rewarding for us and have a positive effect on our own lives. By giving (not only in material needs but mainly our time), instilling hope, joy and opportunity into the community.

INVOLVEMENT is what matters most. We shape a better future through our giving and most importantly

WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
