On Sunday 23rd of May, we visited the Phyllis Robertson home for the disabled. We received a very warm welcome from the folks who stay there permanently, Jadie and their staff.
Jadie explained to us what Phyllis Robertson home is about and the choir sang for us.
All of the members of Zambezi MCC helped to unload the bakkie and carry all the goods inside.
Raddiyya also met us at Phyllis Robertson and took us to Little Abel, school for disabled children. She gave a talk on what their day-to-day at the school involves and also how some kids only go for the daycare and some stay from Monday to Friday. She also mentioned how Covid-19 had impacted the school during the last year.
Leaving Phyllis Robertson we had lunch at Die Wit Huis.
Thank you to all who helped make the day possible. We were able to donate a bunch of toiletries to each of the people currently homed at Phyllis Robertson and we also gave toys and clothes to Little Able.
Your contributions are much appreciated and will certainly make a difference at these two facilities.
